Inter-State Youth Exchange Programme in Ludhiana 

The Inter-State Youth Exchange Programme (ISYEP) between Punjab (Host State) and Uttarakhand (Guest State) is being successfully organised by MY Bharat in Ludhiana from 10th to 14th February, with the objective of promoting national integration, cultural exchange, youth leadership, and awareness on key developmental issues.

Ludhiana, February 14, 2026: The Inter-State Youth Exchange Programme (ISYEP) between Punjab (Host State) and Uttarakhand (Guest State) is being successfully organised by MY Bharat in Ludhiana from 10th to 14th February, with the objective of promoting national integration, cultural exchange, youth leadership, and awareness on key developmental issues.
A total of 37 participants, including 35 youth and 2 escorts from Uttarakhand, are taking part in the programme. The participants are being exposed to diverse learning experiences through interactive awareness sessions, industrial visits, cultural exchange programmes, and experiential activities.
The programme was formally inaugurated with an Opening Ceremony, which included a lamp lighting ceremony, cultural presentation, youth interaction, and an inspiring address by the Chief Guest, who emphasised the crucial role of youth in nation building and social development.
As part of the programme, participants attended sessions on Government of India flagship programmes, skill development and entrepreneurship, artificial intelligence, cyber security, mental health and well-being, substance abuse prevention, and Yuva Aapda Mitra – disaster preparedness, delivered by expert resource persons.
Special focus was given to agriculture and forestry practices of Punjab and Uttarakhand, including a plantation drive, exposure to fruit farming at the Fruit Research Farm, and visits to the Museum of Punjab History at Panjab Agricultural University (PAU). The youth also visited industrial units including the iconic Avon Cycles, providing practical insight into manufacturing processes and employment opportunities.
The programme further included yoga sessions, sports and recreational activities, visits to places of cultural and spiritual significance such as Gurudwara Dukhniwaran Sahib, and recreational exposure at public spaces, fostering holistic development and inter-state bonding among participants.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Director, MyBharat stated that the Inter-State Youth Exchange Programme plays a vital role in broadening youth perspectives, strengthening unity in diversity, and preparing young citizens to actively contribute to nation building.
