Jalandhar, July 31, 2019: In today's world, when everything has become fast -paced, the usage of standardized spelling in English language has suffered the most. To encourage the students to use standardized spelling, CT Public School organized an Inter House Spell Bee Competition by the Department of English.

The event was flawlessly conducted by teachers from English Department namely Harpreet Panesar HOD along with Suman Moudgil, Meenu Mehta, Anjali Chitti, Rajni and Herdip.

After semifinals, twelve students were selected. One student from each class represented their house. The students were divided into four categories class wise and they went through five rounds namely spell the word, write the correct spelling, choose the correct spelling, unscramble the word and rapid fire.

There was a neck to neck competition in these five interesting rounds. The children enjoyed the challenging questions and played enthusiastically.

In the Category 1, Mother Teresa House secured First Prize whereas 2nd prize was bagged by Nelson Mandela House and the 3rd prize was won by APJ Abdul Kalam Azad House.

In Category 2, First Prize was bagged by Mother Teresa House whereas, Nelson Mandela House bagged second prize and the 2nd runner up prize was awarded to APJ Abdul Kalam Azad House.

In Category 3, the first position was procured by Mother Teresa House whereas, the 1st runner up was bagged by APJ Abdul Kalam Azad House and 2nd runner up was bagged by Nelson Mandela House.

In Category 4, the First Prize was won by Nelson Mandela House whereas, the 1st runner up remained Mother Teresa House and 2nd runner up was bagged by APJ Abdul Kalam Azad.

Principal Daljit Rana and Vice Principal Sukhdeep Kaur congratulated all the students and English Department for their efforts and said that that such competitions help students improve their spellings, increase their vocabulary, learn concepts and develop the use of correct English.

Manbir Singh, Managing Director congratulated all the participants and CTPS team and encouraged to organise more such events to enhance students' knowledge.
