Innocent Hearts Group Organizes Outcome-Based Education Workshop
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell of Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions, organized an insightful faculty development workshop on the Topic “Outcome-Based Education: Integrating Teaching, Learning, and Research.” The session aimed at enhancing academic practices and strengthening research-oriented teaching among faculty members.
Jalandhar, April 1, 2026: The Internal Quality Assurance Cell of Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions, organized an insightful faculty development workshop on the Topic “Outcome-Based Education: Integrating Teaching, Learning, and Research.” The session aimed at enhancing academic practices and strengthening research-oriented teaching among faculty members.
The workshop featured an eminent academician and global hospitality expert, Dr. Varinder Singh Rana, as the resource person. With extensive experience in academia and industry, he shared valuable insights into modern educational practices, curriculum design, and quality standards in higher education. He emphasized the importance of research as a continuous and essential part of an educator’s professional journey and encouraged faculty members to actively contribute to innovation and knowledge creation.
During the session, faculty members were introduced to advanced teaching methodologies, including the transition from Pedagogy and Andragogy to Heutagogy, focusing on self-determined learning. The workshop also covered key aspects of curriculum planning such as course creation, lesson planning, and the effective use of Bloom’s Taxonomy to achieve desired learning outcomes.
A major highlight of the session was the discussion on quality assurance in education, where the mapping of Course Outcomes (COs) and Program Outcomes (POs) was explained in detail to align with global academic standards. The interactive nature of the workshop enabled participants to gain practical insights and clarity on implementing outcome-based education effectively.
The session proved to be highly informative and beneficial, equipping faculty members with innovative approaches to teaching, learning, and research.
On this occasion, Dr. Gagandeep Kaur Dhanju, Director Academics, appreciated the initiative and expressed her gratitude to the resource person for delivering such an enriching session.
