Jalandhar, August 22, 2025: The Literary Club at Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions successfully organized an engaging Inter-Department Debate Competition at Horizon Hall. The event was designed to provide students with a dynamic platform to express their views, develop critical thinking, and enhance their confidence in public speaking.

Sixteen energetic teams from the departments of Management, Information Technology, Hotel Management, and Medical Sciences participated, presenting well-researched arguments on contemporary and thought-provoking topics such as whether social media does more harm than good to mental health, whether soft skills outweigh technical skills in the 21st century, and whether machines can be held accountable for ethics in the age of AI. The participants demonstrated remarkable logical reasoning, communication skills, and depth of analysis, which kept the audience engaged and encouraged a healthy exchange of ideas.

The event proved to be intellectually stimulating throughout, Ishnoor Singh and Harsimran Kaur (B.Com I) secured the first position, Pallavi Sharma and Komalpreet Kaur (MBA I) claimed the second position, while Rajdeep Kaur (MLS D) and Navjot Kaur earned the third position. Komalpreet Kaur (BBA I) was also recognized with the Best Speaker Award for her exceptional presentation and debating skills.

Dr. Gagandeep Kaur Dhanju, Director (Academics), and Mr. Rahul Jain, Director (Operations), graced the event with their presence and extended their congratulations to all the participants for their outstanding efforts and performances.

The competition concluded with the distribution of certificates to all winners and participants, celebrating their dedication and efforts. The Literary Club extended heartfelt gratitude to the faculty coordinators, jury members, and student volunteers whose invaluable support ensured the event’s grand success. The session proved to be highly enriching, leaving students inspired to approach contemporary issues with clarity, confidence, and a collaborative spirit.
