Information booklet on Dengue released

Ludhiana: Information Booklet for general public on ‘Dengue’ was released today in the premises of Hero DMC Heart Institute by Secretary of DMCH Managing Society Prem Kumar Gupta. Also present on the occasion were Vice Principal Dr GS Wander, Medical Supdt (HDHI) Dr Bishav Mohan, Dr Rajesh Mahajan and other faculty members. The book is co-authored both by Dr Vipin Kumar(Assistant Professor, Department of Medicine) and Dr Bishav Mohan, who serves as a Professor of Cardiology in HDHI

Earlier also, DMCH has released booklet on ‘COVID’ when its spread was at its peak and an awareness booklet was widely appreciated by the general public to increase their awareness about restricting the spread of COVID pandemic.
Now, as Dengue is making inroads and its cases show rising trend during this period, so an effort was made to make people aware about various health issues related with dengue.

According to co-authors Dr Vipin Kumar and Dr Bishav Mohan, every year thousands of patients suffer from dengue and precious lives are lost. There is a lot of anxiety and panic in the public because of incomplete information. However, there are many ways to prevent it and treat this deadly disease which can save many lives. An attempt was made to discuss all these issues in this information booklet.
