Industry Minister, Haryana, Rao Narbir Singh Inaugurates ASSOCHAM Haryana Manufacturing Conclave 2026

The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM), India’s oldest apex chamber, successfully organized the ASSOCHAM Haryana Manufacturing Conclave 2026, which was inaugurated by  Rao Narbir Singh, Minister for Commerce and Industry, Government of Haryana.

Chandigarh, January 23, 2026: The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM), India’s oldest apex chamber, successfully organized the ASSOCHAM Haryana Manufacturing Conclave 2026, which was inaugurated by  Rao Narbir Singh, Minister for Commerce and Industry, Government of Haryana. The conclave brought together senior policymakers, industry leaders, MSMEs, financial institutions, and public sector enterprises to deliberate on strengthening Haryana’s manufacturing ecosystem and accelerating industrial growth. Yash Garg, Director General, MSME & Industries, Government of Haryana; Manish Singhal, Secretary General, ASSOCHAM; Abhi Bansal, Chairman, ASSOCHAM State Development Council; and  Rakesh Bhalla, Chairman, ASSOCHAM Chandigarh UT Development Council were also present.
Addressing the gathering, Rao Narbir Singh thanked ASSOCHAM for organizing the conclave and stated that Haryana is being positioned as a global manufacturing hub driven by innovation, advanced technology, and competitiveness. He emphasized that the state government is actively engaging with industry stakeholders and incorporating their feedback while framing industry-friendly policies, incentives, and budgetary provisions. Highlighting Haryana’s industrial success, he noted that Gurugram and Manesar have emerged as strong industrial belts, and similar master-planned industrial clusters will be developed across the state to ensure structured and sustainable industrial growth. He reiterated that Haryana is among the most industrialized states in India and a key contributor to the national economy, and invited industry leaders to share suggestions for further strengthening the manufacturing ecosystem.
Yash Garg, Director General, MSME & Industries, Government of Haryana, highlighted the state’s focused initiatives to promote MSME growth, infrastructure expansion, investor-friendly policies, and sustainable manufacturing practices. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to ease of doing business, policy stability, and proactive facilitation, aimed at attracting domestic and global investments.
Manish Singhal, Secretary General, ASSOCHAM, reiterated ASSOCHAM’s role as India’s oldest apex chamber in fostering strong industry–government collaboration. He emphasized that manufacturing is the engine of growth for leading global economies, and Haryana, with its skilled talent pool, robust industrial base, and progressive policy framework, has the potential to emerge as a global manufacturing leader. He stressed the importance of Atmanirbhar Bharat initiatives, R&D centres, skill development, and replication of successful industrial models such as the Gurugram–Manesar belt across the state. He further highlighted the need for social infrastructure, ease of living, and enhanced women participation to attract long-term investments.
Setting the context of the conclave, Abhi Bansal, Chairman, ASSOCHAM State Development Council and Director, Saraswati Group of Companies, emphasized Haryana’s strategic importance in India’s manufacturing landscape. He highlighted the need for a sector-wise approach, formation of sectoral committees, innovation-driven mindset, and strong policy support, and praised the Haryana government for its proactive role in driving industrial development.
Addressing the conclave, Sanjeev Chawla, Additional Development Commissioner, MSME DFO Karnal, Ministry of MSME, Government of India, outlined key central government initiatives aimed at strengthening MSMEs. He highlighted measures focused on ease of doing business, improved access to finance, technology upgradation, credit support schemes, and skill development, and emphasized the importance of integrating MSMEs into global value chains to enhance competitiveness and growth.
In his concluding remarks, Rakesh Bhalla, Chairman, ASSOCHAM Chandigarh UT Development Council & Advisor to Executive Director & CEO, SML Mahindra Ltd, summarized the key deliberations and reiterated ASSOCHAM’s commitment to translating policy intent into actionable outcomes, ensuring continuous engagement between industry and government.
Sharing brief perspectives, Deepa Bajpai, General Manager, Bharat Electronics Limited, highlighted the role of public sector enterprises in advanced manufacturing and indigenization, while Manav Gupta, Director, Stylam Industries Limited, emphasized innovation, quality manufacturing, and global competitiveness. Kanwar Lal, Deputy General Manager, Punjab & Sind Bank, highlighted the banking sector’s role in supporting manufacturing and MSMEs through customized financial solutions.
The conclave concluded with a shared commitment from government, industry, and financial institutions to collaboratively strengthen Haryana’s manufacturing ecosystem and position the state as a global manufacturing destination.
