Industry Leaders Visit CICU Centre of Excellence; Strengthening Industry–Technology Collaboration

Ludhiana, May 1, 2026: The Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings (CICU) had the privilege of hosting Rummy Chhabra, Chairman & Managing Director of Metro Tyres Ltd., along with J.K. Sablok, during their visit to CICU.
During the visit, the distinguished guests toured CICU’s Centre of Excellence, where they were introduced to key facilities including the Reverse Engineering Lab, AWaDH CPS Lab – enabling industry with advanced cyber-physical systems, real-time data integration, and smart manufacturing solutions to enhance productivity and competitiveness, and the AI Lab. They also witnessed CICU’s ongoing skill development initiatives aimed at empowering industry members with advanced technological capabilities and future-ready competencies.
Rummy Chhabra appreciated CICU’s forward-looking approach and its efforts to bridge the gap between industry and emerging technologies. He acknowledged the impact of the AWaDH CPS Lab and expressed satisfaction in seeing how such initiatives are driving innovation and supporting industrial growth. CICU also extended its sincere thanks to Chhabra for his continuous support and valuable contribution towards strengthening such advanced infrastructure for the benefit of the industry.
J.K. Sablok commended the practical orientation of CICU’s initiatives, highlighting the importance of such platforms in enhancing productivity, skill development, and competitiveness among MSMEs.
