India Shines at the 14th International Karate Championship; Arshdeep Singh Wins Gold
India delivered an outstanding performance at the 14th KK Goju-Kai Selangor Open Karate Championship, held from 22nd to 23rd November in Malaysia. Representing the Budo Kai Do Mixed Martial Arts Federation of India, the athletes showcased exceptional skill and determination under the guidance of Team Coach Vinod Kumar and supporting coaches Ravinder Pal Sharma, Mohan Lal, and Manish Sharma.
Chandigarh, November 28, 2025: India delivered an outstanding performance at the 14th KK Goju-Kai Selangor Open Karate Championship, held from 22nd to 23rd November in Malaysia. Representing the Budo Kai Do Mixed Martial Arts Federation of India, the athletes showcased exceptional skill and determination under the guidance of Team Coach Vinod Kumar and supporting coaches Ravinder Pal Sharma, Mohan Lal, and Manish Sharma.
Arshdeep Singh and Simranjit Kaur brought glory to the nation by winning Gold Medals, marking a proud moment for the entire contingent. In the Silver Medal category, Mala, Anshpreet Singh Multani, and Rajat delivered remarkable performances. Meanwhile, Ishmeetpreet Singh secured a Bronze Medal, adding further honour to India’s tally.
Upon the team’s return to India, they received a warm welcome from Sharanjeet, President of the Federation, who also honoured all national players for their dedication and achievements. The federation extended recognition to team members including Harpreet Kaur, Kulwinder Singh, Priti, Mohit, Sonij, Armaandeep Singh, Keshav Rana, Navjot Singh, Mohit, Lovejot Singh, Vanshdeep Singh, Navdeep Singh, Jaswinder Singh, Rajesh Kumar, and Gagandeep Singh Sidhu, celebrating their commitment and exemplary participation.
This remarkable performance at an international platform reflects the growing strength of Indian martial arts and the relentless spirit of its young athletes.
