Inaugural Ceremony of the 75th Foundation Day of Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC)

Ludhiana, February 25, 2026: On the occasion of the 75th Foundation Day of the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), an inaugural ceremony was enthusiastically organized on Tuesday at the premises of the Sub Regional Office, Ludhiana, as well as at Aarti International Limited, Ludhiana. The programme marked the commencement of the Foundation Day Fortnight being celebrated from February 24 to March 10.
Felicitation Ceremony at Sub Regional Office, Ludhiana
During the programme held at the Sub Regional Office, Ludhiana, more than 30 Insured Persons (IPs), beneficiaries, and retired employees were felicitated for their long-standing association and valuable contribution to ESIC.
On this occasion, Pranesh Kumar Sinha, Joint Director (In-charge), Sub Regional Office, Ludhiana, highlighted the glorious 75-year journey of ESIC and the social security services being extended to workers across the country. The officers present reiterated ESIC’s continuous commitment to providing improved medical care and comprehensive social security benefits to its beneficiaries.
As part of the celebrations, a tree plantation drive was also conducted at a Government Primary School in Ludhiana. School students enthusiastically participated in the plantation activity. Various saplings were planted within the school premises, and children were sensitized about the importance of environmental conservation and maintaining a clean and green environment. Under the guidance of their teachers, the students took a pledge to nurture and protect the planted saplings.
Interactive Session at Aarti International Limited
In connection with the 75th Foundation Day celebrations, an interactive session was organized at Aarti International Limited, Ludhiana, where more than 80 managers and representatives of various employers participated.
Pranesh Kumar Sinha, Joint Director (In-charge), Sub Regional Office, Ludhiana, and Dr. Aparajita Sophia D’Souza, Medical Superintendent, ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Ludhiana, were specially present during the session. The officers provided detailed information regarding various benefits under the ESI Scheme, medical facilities available, and the role and responsibilities of employers. Queries raised by the participants were also addressed comprehensively.
Arjesh Mishra, President HR of Aarti International Limited, appreciated the efforts being made by ESIC towards the welfare of workers.
The programme was also attended by Pankaj Kumar (Assistant Director), Ajeet Kumar (Assistant Director), and Sunil Kumar (NFSG, ESIC Model Hospital Ludhiana). The active role of Social Security Officers Rajeev Kumar and Suresh Kumar significantly contributed to the successful organization of the seminar.
Upcoming Programmes
As part of the ESIC Foundation Day Fortnight, various seminars, awareness programmes, and Preventive Health Check-up Camps will be organized in the coming days. These initiatives aim to create greater awareness among insured persons, beneficiaries, and employers about ESIC schemes and healthcare facilities.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks to all participants and an appeal for active participation in the events scheduled during the fortnight.
