In a unique initiative Ferozepur police organize grievance redressal camp  

Ferozepur, March 31, 2022: In a unique initiative, the Ferozepur police today organized a “Grievance Redressal Camp” at the police line. While giving  details, Dr. Narinder Bhargav SSP said that during the 633 pending complaints were listened by the senior police officials including three SPs, six DSPs and Station Head Officer (SHOs).

Bhargav said that  today such camps are being organized at Zira and Guruharsahai sub-division also. “We had called the parties in 555 cases but today we received overwhelming response overall 633 complaints were considered”, said SSP. As per information, most of these complaints were related to family disputes, panchayat matters and other minor issues which were pending for the long time. Most of the cases were settled mutually on the spot.

SSP said that the Ferozepur police have setup 15 help desks in front of all the police stations where three police officials including two female and one male staff will be deputed. “During the last one week, the police has received 225 complaints through these help desks out of which 191 have been settled. The remaining 62 pending complaints will also be settled as early as possible”, said SSP.

“The each complaint is given a unique ID (UID) number. “If anyone wants to know the status of the complaint, can check with the help of this UID”, said SSP.

Two women resident of Mamdot block praised the initiative taken by the police. “We are very happy that the higher officials from the police department personally called us and told us to attend the camp. Today, the senior officials have assured us that our matter will be solved”, said SSP.
