Illegal encroachments removed from public roads in Jagraon 

Jagraon (Ludhiana), September 13, 2022: The Civil, MC and police administration in Jagraon launched a drive against illegal encroachments from public roads to ease traffic movement in the city. 

Leading the drive under Jagraon Bridge, SDM Vikas Hira said that initiative of removing encroachment on public roads were started as these were causing traffic chaos. He said that on the first day, all illegal rehris and autorickshaws were removed from under the jagroan bridge and they were give warnings to not to block the road. He said that in coming days, focus will be inside city area and markets which will help in effective traffic management for the commuters. 

SDM said that traffic signages and marking of zebra lines, parking lines would also be installed to facilitate the commuters. He said this would be a regular exercise with better monitoring and every encroachment will be removed.
