Jalandhar, February 6, 2018: Developed with modern infrastructure of Rs.250 crore in last year, IK Gujral Punjab Technical University will come up with more ultra modern infrastructure in the admission session 2018-19. The construction of three new hostels with 400 rooms and an auditorium is going on in the main campus of the university. The newly built auditorium will have the seating capacity of 800 seats. The construction work was reviewed by Additional Chief Secretary Technical Education & Industrial Training and Vice Chancellor of the University IAS M.P. Singh. He felt proud in saying that University is at the top in terms of 100 percent PhD faculty and modern infrastructure. He also visited newly built three college buildings, Knowledge resource centre (Library), two hostels and one seminar hall and also looked into the benefit of this infrastructure to the students.

Vice Chancellor IAS M.P. Singh also held a meeting with all the heads of the departments. His focus was on the important works of academics, finance and administration. He fixed the dates of various meetings to be held in near future. He also had a statistical review of last year’s admission in university colleges and discussed about the changes in notification for admission session 2018-19.

During the meeting with college wing of academic branch, he also reviewed the accreditation process of university and its affiliated colleges. He said that the students should get the best of the education in Punjab and this thing is to be assured by the academic branch of the university on priority basis. The examination branch told him about the survellience process which is being done through CCTV cameras.

On this occasion, University Dean Planning and Development Dr. N.P. Singh, Dean RIC Dr. Anirudh Pratap Singh, Dean Academics Dr. Balkar Singh, Registrar Dr. Amanpreet Singh, Finance Officer Dr. S.K. Mishra, Controller Examination Dr. R.P.S. Bedi and others were also present.
