IKGPTU launched a Centralized Online Counselling Admission portal for 03 State Universities

- Admissions to IKGPTU main campus, its other campuses, affiliated colleges including MRSPTU Bathinda and PAU Ludhiana will also be run through this portal

Kapurthala, June 20, 2023: I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University Jalandhar-Kapurthala (IKGPTU) has launched Centralized Online Counseling admission portal as the nodal university. The centralized Online Counseling portal was launched by Prof. (Dr.) Susheel Kumar Mittal, Vice-Chancellor of the University. This portal will support admissions for B. Tech, B. Pharmacy & B. Architecture courses includes IKGPTU main campus Jalandhar-Kapurthala, its campuses Amritsar, Hoshiarpur, Mohali, MRSPTU Bathinda, its affiliated colleges and PAU Ludhiana. Through this portal aspiring students will be able to apply for admission in these courses in their chosen colleges by paying a counseling fee of just Rs.2000. University Registrar Dr. S.K Misra and Joint Registrar cum IT head of University Dr R P S Bedi thanked the Vice Chancellor for the free hand support during the development work of the portal. He shared that the University successfully launched this joint admissions portal in very less time and cost effective manner under the able leadership of Vice-Chancellor Dr. Mittal. The Vice Chancellor congratulated the team for the successful launch towards transparent admissions.

Chief Coordinator Admission Prof (Dr.) Vikas Chawla said that all interested students have to apply for the first phase (round) of this counseling from 23rd June 2023 to 26th June 2023. The first round result will be declared on 29th June 2023. Seat allotment will be done from 30 June to 04 July.
Deputy Controller Dr. Nitya Sharma shared that the second round of counseling will start from July 05 to July 07, and the result will be announced on July 11. The seat allotment for the second round of counseling will take place from July 12 to July 15.

On the occasion Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Susheel Kumar Mittal expressed satisfaction that the IT team of the university, Academic department, Finance department, College Development department have all created this portal work. He motivated everyone to work together to make autonomous technology effective. On this occasion, Dean College Development Dr. Balkar Singh, Finance Officer Dr. S.S. Walia, Controller Examination Dr. Paramjit Singh, Dean Student Welfare Dr. Gaurav Bhargava, Deputy Controller Academic Dr. Nitya Sharma, Deputy Registrar IT Rishi Gupta, Deputy Registrar Public Relations Rajneesh Sharma, Programmer Deepak Sidana, Ashish Kumar were present.
