IHM Visit Turns NSS Students’ Classroom Lessons into Practical Skills

Rohtak, September 24, 2026: Sixty NSS volunteers from MKJK College, Rohtak, visited the Institute of Hotel Management (IHM), Rohtak, for an educational and skill-development programme focused on hospitality, tourism and career opportunities.
The students attended a special session on “Kitchen Hygiene and Food Safety”, where Chef Rajaram explained personal hygiene, safe food handling and storage, equipment sanitation and essential food-safety practices.
IHM lecturers Vikas Deshwal and Saurav Sapra also briefed the students on career opportunities in the hospitality and kitchen industry, highlighting the growing importance of skill-based education, employment, entrepreneurship and self-employment.
MKJK College Principal Dr Rashmi Lochab thanked IHM Principal Shambhu Nath Gautam for organising the programme and said such practical learning sessions help students enhance their knowledge and skills.
Dr Savita Malik, Associate Professor of Mathematics, and Dr Mona, Assistant Professor of Commerce, accompanied the NSS volunteers. IHM welcomed the delegation and expressed its commitment to promoting more practical and skill-oriented learning programmes for students.
