IEC comic series kids, vaayu and corona, part 3: heroes of lockdown, a comic to unlock kids potential during covid 19 pandemic

Chandigarh: IEC comic series Kids, Vaayu and Corona, part 3: heroes of lockdown, a comic to unlock Kids potential during COVID 19 pandemic jointly prepared by Dr Suman Mor, Department of Environment Studies, Panjab University and Dr Ravindra Khaiwal, Additional Professor of Environment Health, Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh was released today by Sh. V.P Singh Badnore, Honourable Governor of Punjab. He emphasised that concerns of kids should be addressed on time to avoid any panic among them under current scenario and appreciated the efforts put by Dr Suman Mor, from Panjab University and Dr Ravindra Khaiwal from PGIMER Chandigarh in bringing comic series.
Dr Suman Mor, Chairperson, Department of Environment Studies, Panjab University and one of author of comic stated that IEC comic titled “Kids, Vaayu & Corona” part 1 and part-2 was released by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in March 2020.  In this series part 3 has been made to unlock Kids potential during COVID 19. key topics covered in our IEC material, i.e., comic, includes : Proper Handwashing steps,Use of Homemade cloth Masks,Teaching Social distancing, motivation for kids, i.e., activities during the lockdown (cooking , music , art etc.), Procedures of online study and useful links including eVIDYA of MHRD, Know Screen time  and Mosquito control
Dr Ravindra Khaiwal, Additional Professor of Environment Health, PGIMER stated IEC comic titled “Kids, Vaayu & Corona” part 1 and part-2 was released by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in March 2020. In this direction part 3 was released today. This comic also educates kids about Govt Apps useful for the study, music, Sanskriti App, Farmers apps, Bharatvaani, Sangam App, Umang App, Fit India app etc. besides message for taking care of the elderly. This comic also educates about PM Care fund, use of Aarogaya Setu app.
This comic also gives tribute to all Corona warriors, who help to fight against COVID 19. The comic will motivate the kids to learn, explore knowledge through government platforms, and make use of their positive energy for creativeness.
