HYSEA and HFF jointly organize Catalyst- An Industry-Startup Innovation Confluence

Hyderabad, November 8, 2022: HYSEA in collaboration with Hyderabad Fintech Forum (HFF) organized Catalyst event today at HICC. It is envisaged as an important platform to connect & promote collaboration of large Corporates & Start-ups for exchange of knowledge & ideas. The innovation confluence brought domain specialists, technology experts & business leaders from large & start-up organizations.    

Catalyst is part of HYSEA's larger knowledge initiatives, conceptualized as a series to bring corporate leaders and start-ups together for an innovation confluence.  Corporate leaders bring in the needs perspectives sharing their domains problems start-ups could address.  Start-ups showcasing their latest innovations for corporate leaders to understand the state of the art of tech. In that process seeding an exchange of ideas and exploring opportunities to collaborate.  New ideas for the corporates, and possible POCs for the start-ups.  The first in the CATALYST series focussed on FinTech. 

Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary, ITE&C Dept., was the Chief Guest on the occasion and said, “I am happy HYSEA and HFF have created this platform for corporates and start-ups to interact and collaborate. Considering BFSI is one of largest employment generator, the fintech theme for the first edition of Catalyst series is very apt”. He also added that all key players in the innovation eco system should also explore working with government financial institutions like T-Wallet, State Finance Corporation, Streenidhi Bank etc to see if we can improve efficiencies in delivery as they touch  lives of the citizens. 

Earlier welcoming the participants HYSEA President & Delivery Head-IVS and Campus Head Infosys Hyderabad SEZ & Indore, Manisha Saboo said, “Hyderabad is at tipping point of becoming innovation capital of India. HYSEA is playing role of catalyst by bringing large organization and start-ups together, creating opportunities to exchange thoughts and enhance collaboration”.

JA Chowdary, Founding member of HFF & Chairman, India Blockchain Standards Committee & General Partner, Succeed Indovation Fund addressing the participants said, “Hyderabad Fintech forum and HYSEA are organizing this conference to enable more start-ups in the Fintech and other technology space, to get the opportunity for networking and also for getting new mentors to guide them, hand hold them,  to see that they are successful. This endeavour is a collaborative effort between Hyderabad Fintech forum and HYSEA. We will have more of them in the coming 2 , 3 quarters, mainly to support the Start-up companies in Fintech as well as, in the deep tech areas”, he said.  

The keynote address was delivered by Sirisha Voruganti, Managing Director, JC Penny on “Need for innovation in Banking”. 

Three key panels on “Payment Systems”, “Blockchain” and “AI in Fintec” were each followed by presentations by 9 curated startups. They presented their innovation & solutions and interacted and exchanged ideas with the panel. As a next step they will explore opportunities to collaborate.
