HPBOSE Declares Class 12 Results 2026; Pass Percentage Rises to 92.02 per cent
The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education, Dharamshala, on Monday declared the Class 12 examination results for 2026, with outcomes for Arts, Commerce, and Science streams announced simultaneously.
Dharamshala, May 4, 2026: The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education, Dharamshala, on Monday declared the Class 12 examination results for 2026, with outcomes for Arts, Commerce, and Science streams announced simultaneously.
Board Chairman Dr. Rajesh Sharma released the results at a press conference . A total of 81,417 students appeared for the examination conducted across 2,384 centres in the state.
According to official data, 74,637 students have passed the examination, while 3,071 candidates have been placed in the compartment category. The overall pass percentage stands at 92.02 percent, marking a significant improvement over previous years. The pass percentage was recorded at 79.06 percent in 2023, 74.05 percent in 2024, and 83.16 percent in 2025.
In the overall merit list, Anshit Kumar from the Arts stream secured the top position in the state with 496 marks out of 500 (99.02%). Shayla Kashyap and Aarushi from the Science stream jointly secured the second position with 495 marks each, while Shyama Bartajia stood third with 494 marks.
In stream-wise performance, Shayla Kashyap from Kangra district topped the Science stream with 495 marks (99%). Sanchita Dhiman and Kashi Sharma secured second position with 98.06 percent, followed by Tamanna Sharma, Nitin, and Vaishali at third position with 98.04 percent.
In the Commerce stream, Yashaswini Chauhan, Krishika, and Ayan from Una district jointly secured the top position with 491 marks each (98.02%).
In the Arts stream, Anshit Kumar emerged as the state topper with 496 marks, achieving 99.02 percent.
