Home Science College tops amongst city colleges in NIRF Ranking

Chandigarh: Government Home Science topped once again amongst all  Govt. and Private colleges of the city  in NIRF Ranking 2020 released by MHRD today. 

The college bagged 86th rank amongst all colleges at National Level. 

 Home Science College has become the only Chandigarh College to feature in top 100 in National Level Ranking twice in a row.

The college has always strived hard to provide knowledge and opportunities beyond its four walls. Emphasizing on skill building and enhancing entrepreneurial activities, the college boasts of a large number of start-ups initiated by the students.

Working towards the same direction, the college recently organised two national level seminars to encourage entrepreneurs and provide a platform for the students to earn while they learn. 

The lockdown has not deterred the spirits of these budding home scientists. Even while confided to their homes, they have found ways to contribute and give back at this time of crisis through making ppe kits, videos of environmental and hygiene practises, healthy eating habits and food safety tips to name a few

The Principal of the college Prof Dr. Sudha Katyal was humbled by this distinguished recognition and lauded the efforts of the faculty, staff and students in bringing laurels to this college not just once but consecutively twice. Dr. Sudha Katyal motivated all to continuously strive to march towards the path of excellence.
