Home Science College observes World Cancer Day

Chandigarh, February 10, 2022: In lieu of World Cancer Day celebrated on February 4 worldwide, Home Science College organised a One Day National Webinar on Cancer Awareness.

The expert speaker was Dr. Atul Sharma, Director General Laproscopic and Breast Cancer surgery, Fortis Hospital. He spoke about the importance of early detection in Cancer and the etiology behind it. The speaker emphasized upon need of screening and following a healthy diet and exercise routine to help manage the disease better. The webinar was attended by the faculty and students of the college.

Principal Prof Sudha Katyal reinforced the need to eat better and live healthier to help alleviate diseases especially Cancer.
