Holistic Development of Children is the Government’s Goal: Education Minister Dhanda
Haryana Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda said that the government is working to ensure the holistic development of children studying in government schools. Through the Buniyaad and Super-100 programs, underprivileged children from Class 8 onwards are being prepared for competitive examinations to secure a bright future. The examination results of government schools have reached up to 95%, which will help change parents’ perception regarding government and private schools.
Rohtak, November 28, 2025: Haryana Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda said that the government is working to ensure the holistic development of children studying in government schools. Through the Buniyaad and Super-100 programs, underprivileged children from Class 8 onwards are being prepared for competitive examinations to secure a bright future. The examination results of government schools have reached up to 95%, which will help change parents’ perception regarding government and private schools.
The Education Minister was interacting with media persons after inaugurating and inspecting the NIPUN Vatika established by the district administration at Government Model Sanskriti Primary School, Sector-3, Haryana Urban Development Authority, Rohtak. Earlier, he formally inaugurated the NIPUN Vatika. Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta and Additional Deputy Commissioner Narendra Kumar briefed the Education Minister about the NIPUN Vatika and the various initiatives taken in the district to promote education.
The Education Minister appreciated the arrangements made by the district administration in the NIPUN Vatika to teach children through playful and activity-based methods. He said that learning through play and observation leads to permanent knowledge, which guides children throughout their lives. He added that the district administration has established the NIPUN Vatika under an ambitious project and also appreciated the efforts of the school staff. Prior to this, officials from the Education Department welcomed the Education Minister and Deputy Commissioner with bouquets on their arrival at the school premises.
Addressing the young students, Mahipal Dhanda encouraged them to study with dedication so that they can achieve greater heights in the future. Interacting with the children, he said he felt extremely happy to see their exceptional talent. He said that trained teachers work in government schools, who have reached this profession after clearing competitive stages. While observing the various attractive posters made by children in the NIPUN Vatika, he praised their creativity and congratulated the school staff as well. As soon as he arrived at the NIPUN Vatika, students welcomed the Minister, and one by one, they explained the arrangements made in the Vatika to support simple and effective learning.
The Education Minister mentioned that a girl student from Fatehabad district, Kajal, received coaching through the same initiative, completed her B.Tech from IIT Mumbai, and secured a package of ₹46 lakh at Google. He said such success stories are changing parents’ perceptions about government and private schools. Government school examination results have reached 95%. The government is fully prepared to make every child proficient in every field.
He said that to enhance students’ skills, the government launched the Buniyaad program for students after Class 8, under which they receive coaching for competitive exams. Students who qualify for Super-100 also receive free coaching, and they have set new records. The government has taken numerous steps to make students proficient in sports, academics, and other fields. Responding to a media question, he described the death of a basketball player in Lakhanmajra as unfortunate and said that necessary steps have been taken for the maintenance of sports stadiums. The government is investigating the matter, and action has already been taken against the concerned officials.
Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta said that the district administration has launched several initiatives to make teaching easy and interesting. In the NIPUN Vatika, efforts have been made to educate children through playful learning. Science, mathematics, and other subjects are taught in a fun and engaging manner, and students are taking keen interest in learning. He said that a similar program is being designed for students above Class 8 as well.
On this occasion, District Education Officer Manjeet Malik, District Elementary Education Officer Diljit Singh, and District Project Officer Bijender Hooda honored the Education Minister on behalf of the department. Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta was also felicitated. The school principal and staff members were present during the event.
