HMV conducts online training on menstrual health and hygiene for students of humanities and skilled courses

Jalandhar, January 24, 2022: The Department of Student Welfare, Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar organised an online training session on Menstrual Health and Hygiene for the students and faculty of Humanities and Skilled Courses under the guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. 

This session was organised in collaboration with Unicharm India Corporation,  a leading Japanese firm in India and its training partner,  Global Hunt Foundation based at Bengaluru. The Resource Person for the session Mrs. Nitya Chaudhary, CSR Executive, Unicharm India was accorded warm welcome by Mrs. Mamta, Session Coordinator & Dean Vedic Studies and Head P.G Department of English  and by Mrs. Binoo Gupta,  Dean Student Welfare. 

Mrs. Mamta told that Menstrual Health and Hygiene is of utmost important  in adolescent age. Mrs. Nitya Chaudhary gave a detailed insight into What, when, why and how of menstrual phase to make students aware of hygiene practices to be adopted. She focused on right lifestyle habits to be adopted and even depicted yoga asans which can help in curing menstrual disorder. 

Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen congratulated for the conduct of the session and said we should be vocal on such subjects and for proper grooming of the students such sessions are required. Mrs. Binoo Gupta, Dean Student Welfare told 80 participants were benefited from the session and said students participated without any hesitation in the question answer session and got their doubts and problems clarified.  

On this occasion Mrs. Nita Malik, Dr. Jyoti Gogia, Dr. Jiwan Devi, Dr. Meenu Talwar, Dr. Deepti Dhir and Mrs. Protima were also present.
