HIRD Director, Dr. Virender Singh Chauhan emphasizes the need for every household to have an indigenous cow

He was addressing the villagers at a program organized at Baba Haridas Shri Krishna Gopal Gaushala in Bohla Khalsa.

The A2 protein found in the milk of indigenous cows strengthens the body's immunity and helps fight many diseases. These views were shared by Dr. Virender Singh Chauhan, Director of the Haryana Institute of Rural Development (HIRD). He was addressing the villagers at a program organized at Baba Haridas Shri Krishna Gopal Gaushala in Bohla Khalsa.
He was welcomed with garlands of flowers by the Gaushala president, Karam Singh Jamba, and the Sarpanch of Bohla Khalsa Gram Panchayat, Nawab Gurjar.
HIRD Director Dr. Chauhan said that indigenous cows are the backbone of Indian culture and the rural economy. He said that the milk of indigenous cows is especially beneficial for children, the elderly, and the sick.
Dr. Chauhan said that the current government is fully committed to cow service and protection. He informed that more than ₹450 crore has been allocated by the government for cow service in the current financial year, which is proof of the government's seriousness regarding cow protection. He appealed to society and the youth to come forward to make the cow shelters self-reliant.
During the program, as a significant initiative to further strengthen cow service, Dr. Virender Singh Chauhan facilitated a phone conversation between the members of the Gaushala Committee and Shravan Garg, Chairman of the Haryana Cow Service Commission. He discussed in detail the development, expansion of facilities, and future plans of Baba Haridas Shri Krishna Gopal Gaushala, Bohla Khalsa.
Dr. Chauhan said that cow service is not only a religious act but also a social and scientific necessity. He said that cow protection promotes environmental balance, organic farming, and rural employment. He appealed to everyone to resolve to make cow service a part of their lives. Dr. Chauhan administered a pledge to the villagers to keep an indigenous cow in every household, saying that when this goal is fully realized, Bohla Khalsa will be recognized as a "Cow Village."
During this event, Nilokheri Market Committee Chairman Shivnath Kapoor, Tarawadi Market Committee Chairman Randeep Chaudhary, R.K. Turan, Praveen Dabartala, Balraj Karsa, Lala Shrichand Gupta, Multan Singh, and many other dignitaries and villagers were present.
