Help book on Hernia Surgery released to commemorate Hernia awareness month

Ludhiana, June 30, 2022: June is celebrated as Hernia awareness month. A help book on Hernia Surgery entitled ”Your Hernia Surgery Help Book” released by Secretary DMCH Managing Society along with Principal Dr Sandeep Puri, Vice Principal and chief Cardiologist  Dr G S Wander,  Medical Supdts. Dr Ashwani K Chaudhary, Dr Bishav Mohan and Dr Sandeep Sharma, Dean Academics Dr Sandeep Kaushal and Dr Jaspal Singh Professor and Head Department of Surgery.

This help book authored by Dr Ashvind Bawa, Associate Professor Department of Surgery along with Dr Madhav Mehta, Inter DMCH and Dr Rohin Kansal. This book is meant to create awareness about hernia for the general public. It will answer all queries related to before and after surgery care of a hernia patient.

In his message Secretary DMCH Managing Society, Prem Kumar Gupta lauded the efforts of Dr Bawa for taking this initiative and said that this book will go long way in spreading awareness. Being a territory care hospital it is our responsibility to create awareness about various ailments among the general public, said Sh Gupta.

Dr Ashvind Bawa, Associate Professor Department of Surgery giving information about the book highlighted that the book aims to serve as a medium of education for the patients undergoing Hernia surgery. Patients and their loved ones are encouraged to read this book so as to get a better understanding about hernia and its care said Dr Bawa.
