Rohtak, July 15, 2026: As part of the significant efforts undertaken by the Haryana Government—under the leadership of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini—to encourage innovation, startup culture, and entrepreneurship, the state's first IHM Incubation Center will be established at the Institute of Hotel Management (IHM) located at Tilyar, Rohtak.
The incubation center has already received its registration certificate for this ambitious initiative. Established under the guidance of the State Tourism Minister, Dr. Arvind Kumar Sharma, and the dynamic leadership of Dr. Amit Agrawal—Chairman of IHM Rohtak and Commissioner of the Tourism and Commerce Department, Haryana Government—this incubation center will provide a robust platform to promote innovation, research, startups, and entrepreneurship within the hospitality, tourism, and food service sectors.
Through this incubation center, students, innovators, and young entrepreneurs will be provided with essential mentorship, training, technical and business consultancy, industry linkages, access to investors, and other necessary support to transform their business ideas into successful startups. This initiative will foster a spirit of self-employment and job creation among the youth.
Shambhunath Gautam, Principal of IHM Rohtak, stated that this incubation center would give a new identity to the startup culture within the state's hospitality and tourism sectors. The center will provide the youth with the necessary resources and guidance to establish innovation-driven enterprises, thereby further strengthening Haryana's position among the country's leading startup states.
He noted that the process of establishing the incubation center has formally gained momentum following the receipt of the registration certificate. In the near future, the center will organize entrepreneurship development programs, startup boot camps, innovation workshops, expert lectures, industry-academia collaboration programs, and investor interactions.
Vikas Deshwal, a lecturer at IHM, described this initiative as a significant step towards realizing the Haryana government's vision of startups, skill development, and ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’. He stated that this would create new employment opportunities for the state's youth and infuse new energy into innovation-driven entrepreneurship within the hospitality and tourism sectors.
