Harshita from RS Public School wins award for writing on science

New Delhi: When it comes to writing a blog on science, many children struggle to narrate their thoughts and the subtle ways in which they want to communicate. To that end, Harshita, a standard 8th student of RS Public School, has earned praise for her writing, receiving first prize from the organisers of Blog writing competition on Vigyan Samagam.
The Blog writing competition on the topic ‘Objectives of Vigyan Samagam’, saw participation of over 300 students who were enlightened on the ongoing Mega Science exhibition at the National Science Centre in New Delhi. Post the elucidation, the students were asked to write a blog on the topic which saw numerous students excitedly penning down their versions, where Harshita excelled with her innovative thoughts as she scribbled away thoughtfully.
Sourav and Manish, both from class 7th claimed second and third prizes respectively.
Vigyan Samagam is a one of its kind and first ever Mega Science exhibition in India is organised by the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Mumbai together with Department of Science & Technology (DST), New Delhi.
