Green Ludhiana: Vertical Garden Inaugurated at DMCH
Ludhiana, May 14, 2019: With the aim to contribute in “Green Ludhiana” and to keep the environment clean and green a vertical garden inaugurated today by Mr Binay K Jha, Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, NWR Chandigarh at DMCH (near Hero DMC entrance) also present on the ocassion were Mr Rohit Mehra additional commissioner IRS, Secretary DMCH Managing Society sh Prem Kumar Gupta, Vice Principal Dr G S Wander Dean Academic Dr Rajoo Singh Chinna, and Medical Supdtt. Dr Sandeep Sharma, Mr Umesh Gupta. Secretary Sh Prem Kumar Gupta said that DMCH has been the first hospital of the region which has developed this vertical garden initiative with the purpose to provide good medical facilities as well as the clean environment to the patients as well as to the public. Other schools, residential areas and public places in the city were also involved in this vertical garden project. Mr Binay K Jha said that two years ago on the occasion of Income Tax Day 2017, they had launched a green plastic campaign for their own office at Rishi Nagar by using waste plastic bottles. Mr Jha further explained that it is called positive regeneration of the environment also. This vertical garden also helps to maintain the good air quality and reducing the heat of the buildings. Mr Jha appreciated the efforts of all the members of management who have contributed in this project to keep the environment green and clean of the area. He asked the youngsters to come forward and involve themselves in this vertical garden project.
