Grand Hanuman Chalisa Recitation on Jan 31: Varun Mehta
The organizing general secretary of Sanatan Seva Samiti Punjab Malwa Zone 1, Varun Mehta, announced in a press release issued here today that a grand mass recitation of the Shree Hanuman Chalisa will be held on January 31, at Bhai Randhir Singh Nagar Durga Mata Temple here. Dozens of devotional singing groups from the city will be given musical instrument kits, and personalities dedicated to religion will also be honoured.
Ludhiana, January 29, 2026: The organizing general secretary of Sanatan Seva Samiti Punjab Malwa Zone 1, Varun Mehta, announced in a press release issued here today that a grand mass recitation of the Shree Hanuman Chalisa will be held on January 31, at Bhai Randhir Singh Nagar Durga Mata Temple here. Dozens of devotional singing groups from the city will be given musical instrument kits, and personalities dedicated to religion will also be honoured.
He informed that former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister, Manish Sisodia, will be specially attending this Chalisa event and will participate in the recitation with the devotees. He added that along with the recitation, a complete explanation of the message given in the religious scriptures will also be provided to the people.
Mehta stated that the committee is running a campaign to connect the younger generation with Sanatani culture by organizing weekly Shree Hanuman Chalisa recitations in several temples across the city. Besides Ludhiana, there is also great enthusiasm among the people in Pathankot, Moga, Zira, Faridkot, Jalandhar, and Amritsar regarding this Chalisa campaign.
He appealed to the city residents to participate in the Shree Hanuman Chalisa event, saying that Shree Balaji (Lord Hanuman) removes everyone's troubles, and during this mass recitation, prayers will also be offered for those who are suffering in hospitals or other difficult circumstances. He also mentioned that the committee's workers are diligently working to resolve the difficulties faced by all the small temples in the city regarding issues with the municipal corporation and district administration.
