The two-day International Film Festival of HIFA (IFFH) will begin at Dada Lakhmi Chand State University of Performing and Visual Arts (DLC SUPVA) on Saturday, bringing together filmmakers, actors and cinema professionals from India and abroad.

Global Cinema Comes to Rohtak with HIFA Film Fest at SUPVA

Rohtak, September 18, 2026: The two-day International Film Festival of HIFA (IFFH) will begin at Dada Lakhmi Chand State University of Performing and Visual Arts (DLC SUPVA) on Saturday, bringing together filmmakers, actors and cinema professionals from India and abroad.

               Organised by the Haryanvi Innovative Film Association (HIFA), with SUPVA as the collaborating institution and Stage app as sponsor, the festival will open with a screening of the Haryanvi film Muawza.

               A total of 24 films will be screened over two days, including feature films, regional films, short films, documentaries and music videos. For the first time, audiences in the city will also get to watch foreign films. All screenings will be held at SUPVA’s Mini Auditorium and admission will be free.

               Festival chairman and actor Yashpal Sharma, actress Sumitra Hooda Pednekar, Rajiv Bhatia, Raju Maan, Anup Lather, Sushil Dahiya, Rekha Verma Saran, Leela Saini, Meena Malik, Punjabi singer Kaka, actor Prince Kanwaljit Singh and Masoom Sharma are among the personalities scheduled to participate in various sessions.

               The festival will also feature masterclasses for young and emerging talent. Bollywood actors Akhilendra Mishra and Ashwin Chaudhary will interact with participants on acting and the finer aspects of filmmaking.

               The festival aims to provide aspiring artists an opportunity to learn from experienced film professionals and engage with them. Organisers said the event would also help showcase Haryana’s language, culture and creative talent on an international platform.

               The festival will conclude with an awards ceremony on Sunday, September 20. K.M. Pandurang, Commissioner and Secretary, Information, Public Relations, Languages and Culture Department, will be the chief guest.
