Gyan Devi Nandrajog Charitable Trust distributes ration to 100 families

Ferozepur, August 18, 2021: With the intention of giving happiness to the poor and needy families on this Independence Day, Gyan Devi Nandrajog Charitable Trust in collaboration with DCM Group of Schools organized a ration distribution ceremony at DC Model Senior Secondary School under PROJECT HOPE. The dry ration included various essential items for a family of four for a week, were distributed to 100 needy families. In addition, school items for the children and sanitation items for the family were included.
GOC Major General Sandeep Singh of Golden Arrow Division participated in the program as the Guest of Honor while Anirudh Gupta, CEO of DCM Group, Col. S.P. Nandrajog (Retd.), senior most member of the trust, Dr. Kamal Baghi, Dr. Saurabh Baghi, Mrs. Tripta Nandrajog, Mrs. Sucheta also graced the occasion.
On this occasion, Major General Sandeep Singh said that he has an old relationship with this border district of Ferozepur. He praised the efforts being made by the GDNCT and DCM Group for the ration distribution.
Colonel S.P. Nandrajog (Retd.), said that GDNCT was established by his father Late Sh. Bhagwant Rai Nandrajog in the memory of his wife Smt. Gyan Devi. He told that a park in the memory of Smt. Gyan Devi was established in the year 2002 at Delhi Gate in the city area by Sh. Bhagwant Rai ji, which was the first such park in Firozpur city. He said that his brother the then Major General O.P. Nandrajog (Retd.) helped his father in the realization of his dream in creating and the development of this park for the young and old citizens of the city. Col. S.P. Nandrajog said that during the initial days people used to come at the park with enthusiasm. He said that today's program is only an initial step under Project Hope and in the coming times, many such efforts will be taken.
Anirudh Gupta, CEO DCM Group said that even after 75 years of independence, many evils have spread in the country and we need to eradicate these evils. He said that the work being done by Gyan Devi Trust is commendable. He said that DCM Group is also running many projects in the field of social service.
