Germany’s renowned  research University FHM and LPU collaborate  

A three-member high-profile team from Germany’s research university Fachhochschule des Mittelstands (FHM) visited Lovely Professional University (LPU) for collaborative purposes.

Jalandhar: A three-member high-profile team from Germany’s research university Fachhochschule des Mittelstands (FHM) visited Lovely Professional University (LPU) for collaborative purposes. 

 

The German team met LPU’s Founder Chancellor & Hon’ble Member of the Indian Parliament (Rajya Sabha) Dr Ashok Kumar Mittal to seek his kind association for collective endeavours. Consenting to the mutual talks, Dr Mittal shared that with prestigious international collaborations, LPU is regularly enhancing global opportunities for promising students by enriching innovative ways of knowledge dissemination.

 

The team from FHM included Vice-Chancellor (Research and Development) Prof Dr Volker Wittberg; Pro Vice-Chancellor (International) Prof Dr Habil Torsten Fischer; and, the CEO, of Anglo-German Doctoral School (AGDS), Prof Dr Richard Merk. 

 

The visiting team held important in-depth discussions of mutual understanding with LPU’s teams of International Relations; Research & Development; and, other academic units involved in the prestigious collaboration. Both sides signed important MoUs for student and faculty exchange programs, joint research opportunities &publications, continuing education & professional development, participation in seminars/conferences and allied matters. 

 

From the perspective of the European Union, FHM is one of the research-intensive universities. The successes of its graduates are due to the training concept of FHM- “Close to practice, and compact in knowledge transfer”. It develops international relations and cooperation for contributing to the formation of intercultural skills among students and teachers. Its applied research has been classified by the Science Council of the Federal Republic of Germany as "impressive".

 

Representing LPU, Vice President Dr Aman Mittal informed that as per the latest education policy of the country, LPU always stands committed to the internationalization of education. At LPU, no international border is inaccessible for promising national and international students to have an overall advantage. Moreover, working with the world’s top universities provides a truly global experience to both students and faculty of the collaborating institutions.
