Friendly chess matches organised on International Chess Day at DIPS

Jalandhar: On International Chess Day DIPS schools organised friendly chess matches at DIPS schools. During this students played chess with their parents and elder or younger brother sister over friendly chess matches online. Some students played online friendly chess matches with their classmates.

Teacher told online about the history of chess and the techniques to be adopted while playing chess. Chess is of prime importance for the development of mind of children so it is highly beneficial. School principals too encouraged the students to play new games.

MD Tarwinder Singh remarked that chess increases the mental ability of a child to remain focused. A student thinks about the next move and develops mental ability and also remain tuned to the other tactful well-planned moves. 

CEO Monica Mandotra viewed that students not only remain self-disciplined but also enables children to have a better grip on maths and science. Chess is not too expensive and it can be played by spending a little amount and reap rich dividends to enhance the mental ability of children.
