Ferozepur, December 23, 2021: The police have arrested four members of a robber’s gang who were involved in the robbery of Rs. 3.78 lakhs which took place on December 12 near Mudki and have recovered one country made pistol (.12 bore), 3 rounds, two rods and a car from them. Besides, the police also recovered Rs.1.40 lakhs from the robbed amount.
Giving details, Harmandeep Singh Haans SSP said that one of the accused Vishal Kumar, resident of Village Sardare Wala in Haryana along with Sukha Singh alias Bhushi, resident of Village Sandoha in Bathinda and others hatched the conspiracy to rob one Daljit Singh, a resident of Village Chakk Baja in Muktsar district.
The SSP said Daljit, who works at a Cattle Welfare Company, had collected Rs. 3.78 lakhs from the cattle market on December 12 in Faridkot. “Vishal, the relative of Sukha, was also working in the same cattle market. Both the accused hatched the conspiracy to rob the money and involved Harpreet son of Labh Singh, Jaspreet Singh alias Jass, resident of Village Peerokot in Bathinda, Gagandeep Singh alias Bhaleria, a resident of Mansa and Harpreet son of Balwinder Singh, resident of Village Kotli Kalan in Mansa in their plan”, said SSP.  
“The main accused Vishal was also travelling in the same car with Baljit when incident took place. As soon as they reached near Mudki, the robbers stopped their car and robbed the cash. Following the robbery, a case under sections 392 IPC and 25, 27 Arms Act was registered at Ghall Khurd police station (FIR No. 115 Dated 12.12.2021) against unidentified persons. A special team was constituted to nab the accused. During the investigation, the needle of suspicion tilted toward Vishal. Following the inputs, the police arrested Vishal, Harpreet son of Labh Singh, Sukha Singh, Jaspreet from Village Jand Wala yesterday while two other accused Gagandeep and Harpreet Singh son of Balwinder Singh are still eluding police”, said SSP.
The SSP said that the police has recovered one country made pistol (.12 bore), 3 live rounds (.12 bore), two rods and cash of Rs. 1.40 lakh from the accused. “Besides the police has also  recovered the car (Vento Volkswagon  DL 3C BY 0142) which was used by the accused. the other accused will also be nabbed soon”, he further added.
