Ahead of World Physiotherapy Day, observed on September 8, the College of Physiotherapy at Pt. Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences (UHSR) organised a special morning exercise session on the UHSR campus on Sunday. Around 110 participants joined the session with enthusiasm.

Rohtak, September 6, 2026: Ahead of World Physiotherapy Day, observed on September 8, the College of Physiotherapy at Pt. Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences (UHSR) organised a special morning exercise session on the UHSR campus on Sunday. Around 110 participants joined the session with enthusiasm.

The session aimed to promote regular exercise, physical activity and a healthy lifestyle. Experts highlighted that incorporating physical activity into daily routines can help maintain fitness and reduce the risk of several lifestyle-related diseases.

They highlighted that physiotherapy goes beyond treating injuries and illnesses, playing a vital role in promoting active lifestyles, improving physical capacity and maintaining overall health.

This year’s World Physiotherapy Day theme focuses on the role of physiotherapy and physical activity in the prevention, management and rehabilitation of cardiovascular disease and stroke. The session sought to spread this message among the public.

Faculty members, students and staff, including Dr Sudhir Atri, Dr Shashi, Dr Meenakshi, Dr Virender Singh, Dr Umesh Yadav, Dr Vasudha, Dr Shweta Mittal, Dr Bhawna, Dr Megha, Dr Dimple, Dr Geetanjali, Dr Meetu, Dr Alka Yadav, Dr Aditi, Dr Rasita and Dr Shreya, attended the programme.
