Mumbai,  May 13, 2022: To attract new entrepreneurs in exports and bridge the gap of availability of qualified skilled manpower in Exim trade, Federation on Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) signed a MoU with Prin. L N Welingkar Institute of Management Development & Research, (WeSchool) Mumbai to launch a Post Graduate Programme in Foreign Trade Management (PGP-FTM) at Mumbai on May 12.
 
The MoU was inked by Nandkishor Kagliwal, Regional Chairman, FIEO (WR) and Prof. Dr. Uday Salunkhe, Group Director, WeSchool.
 
The Memorandum of Understanding, an Industry-Academia partnership, aims to jointly develop and deliver the Post Graduate Programme in Foreign Trade Management (PGP-FTM) which shall endeavor to develop the human capital for meeting the growing demand in International Trade ecosystem. The programme will broadly encompass the General Management Principles, Export Import Procedures, Foreign Trade Management Techniques and International Marketing Concepts.
 
The course will equally benefit professionals working in the area of International Trade and also students aspiring to pursue a career in Export or Imports.

Speaking on the occasion Shri. Nandkishor Kagliwal and Prof. Dr. Uday Salunkhe shared how development in countries is because of the booming exports. India is also now awakening to this and foresees exports of 1 trillion USD in 5 years. This creates immense opportunities and hence the need to develop a course that imparts both theoretical concepts and practical knowhow.  

Khalid Khan, Vice President, FIEO, Nandkishor Kagliwal, Regional Chairman, FIEO (WR), Sharad Kumar Saraf, Immediate Past President, FIEO and Sujata Uchil, Regional Head, FIEO (WR) were present on the occasion.
The duration of the programme will be 11 months and will be offered in two batches i.e. Evening classes from 6.30-8.30 pm on weekdays from Monday to Friday and Weekend classes from 9am to 6 pm on Sunday’s.
