FICO requested CM Punjab to intervene and ensure uninterrupted power supply to the industry

Ludhiana, October 12, 2021: Recently it has been observed that the power cuts for 4 to 8 hours have been imposed daily. Federation of Industrial & Commercial Organization (FICO) demanded the uninterrupted power supply to the Industry from Charanjit Singh Channi, Chief Minister, Punjab.

K.K. Seth Chairman and Gurmeet Singh Kular President FICO said that power is one of major raw materials for the industry. The uninterrupted power supply must be ensured especially in industrial areas & focal points. The industry has not yet revived from the losses faced due to COVID Lockdowns. The Government of Punjab should procure more electricity.

Manjinder Singh Sachdeva Senior Vice President and Rajeev Jain General Secretary FICO said that the Government must procure more electricity and fulfil the demand of the industry rather than imposing power cuts, which are not less than an accident to industry rather a fatal one. The previous government was successful in meeting 100 % demand and made the state power surplus.
