PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar Hosts Five-Day FDP on Personality Grooming and Holistic Wellness for Non-Teaching Staff

Jalandhar: Reaffirming its unwavering commitment to the holistic development of all stakeholders, PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar, in collaboration with IQAC, organized a Five-Day Faculty Development Program (FDP) titled “Nurturing the Backbone: Personality Grooming and Holistic Wellness”. The program was thoughtfully curated for the non-teaching staff of the college, with the aim of empowering them with practical knowledge in the domains of self-care, wellness, and effective workplace conduct.
Spanning across five consecutive days, the FDP covered a diverse range of topics designed to cater to the physical, emotional, and professional well-being of the participants. The program commenced with a session on Skin Care on Day 1, followed by an insightful talk on Personality Development and Health: Building a Better You on Day 2.
Day 3 featured a rejuvenating session on Yoga for Stress Relief and Postural Wellness, and was further enriched by the presence of Gohrina, Principal of Government Senior Secondary School, Nehru Garden, Jalandhar. As the Chief Guest and Resource Person, she delivered a highly engaging and motivational lecture on Personality Development, sharing her expertise on self-awareness, confidence-building, and professional demeanor. Her presence served as a source of great inspiration for all attendees.
On Day 4, participants were introduced to Hair Care and Styling Techniques, and the final day addressed Effective Communication: Skills at Workplace, aiming to enhance interpersonal and professional interactions.
This initiative stands as a testament to the college’s belief that the non-teaching staff form the backbone of any academic institution. By investing in their personal grooming and well-being, the college not only fosters a culture of inclusivity but also promotes mutual respect and professional growth across all levels.
President Naresh Budhia, Senior Vice President Vinod Dada, the other members of the managing committee and the Principal Dr. Pooja Prashar, and Incharge Captain Priya Mahajan appreciated the enthusiastic participation of the staff and acknowledged the significance of such initiatives. Dr. Pooja Prashar emphasized that the program reflects the college’s holistic vision, where the personal and professional development of every member is integral to institutional progress.
