MLA Narinderpal Singh Sawana today laid the foundation stone for the construction of a new shed at the Fazilka Vegetable Market, to be built at a cost of Rs 1.66 crore. The project aims to fulfil the long-pending demand of farmers and commission agents operating in the mandi.
Fazilka, October 5, 2025: MLA Narinderpal Singh Sawana today laid the foundation stone for the construction of a new shed at the Fazilka Vegetable Market, to be built at a cost of Rs 1.66 crore. The project aims to fulfil the long-pending demand of farmers and commission agents operating in the mandi.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Sawana said that the state government is committed to carrying out development projects for people from all walks of life. He stated that the new shed will benefit vegetable sellers, commission agents, and the general public who visit the market regularly.
“The new shed will provide a safe and covered space for vegetable vendors to store and sell their produce, protecting it from weather-related damage. It will also ensure greater convenience for the buyers visiting the mandi,” said the MLA. He added that the construction work will be completed within a few days.
Sawana further emphasized that the present government faces no shortage of funds and is continuously providing financial assistance for development projects across the constituency. “No section of society is being ignored in the path of progress,” he asserted.
On this occasion, Chairman Paramjit Singh Noor Shah, Khajan Singh, Alka Juneja, and several other party leaders and workers were also present.
