Extension of Dr Ajaib Singh Brar need of the hour: Dr GS Samra

Jalandhar, June 11, 2015: Dr Ajaib Singh Brar, Vice Chancellor, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar has been given 3 year extension in services because of his exemplary contribution to the development of university and to the cause of education.

Congratulating Dr. Brar on getting extension for the third time, the local Khalsa College Principal Dr. G.S. Samra on Wednesday said in a press release that the extension was the need of the hour and it was justified seeing Dr. Brar’s success as the Vice Chancellor. He said that it was only during Dr. Brar’s tenure that GNDU made it place among top ten universities of the country. Under Dr. Drar’s stewardship the university made remarkable achievements such as award of potential for excellance status, establishment of Centre on Studies in Guru Granth Sahib and implementation of credit based system of evaluation in addition to award of grants for academic and research activities. On behalf of students staff and the management of the college he offered best wishes to  Dr. Brar  and  expressed a hope that the university would continue to progress by leaps and bounds under the visionary leadership of Dr. Brar.
