Rohtak, March 16, 2026: Under the joint aegis of the Centre for Women's Studies and the IQAC at Baba Mastnath University (BMU), Asthal Bohar, an expert lecture was organized on the theme "Rights, Justice, and Action for All Women and Girls." The objective of this program was to raise awareness within society regarding the rights, justice, and gender equality of women and girls, and to sensitize the youth in this regard.
Chief Guest, Registrar Prof. Vinod Kumar lauded this initiative by the Centre for Women's Studies, saying that such programs play a pivotal role in shaping the youth into sensitized and responsible citizens.
As keynote speaker, DCP Jasleen Kaur asserted that real societal transformation is possible only when women and girls are accorded equal opportunities, dignity, and security. She called upon the youth to adopt a positive attitude towards women and to play their part in strengthening the spirit of equality and justice within society.
Advocate Seema Kushwaha noted that while several effective laws have currently been enacted to ensure the safety and justice of women, the benefits of these laws can only be realized if both women and society at large are aware of them. She encouraged the students to acquire basic legal knowledge and to raise their voices against injustice. Other speakers at the event emphasized that sensitizing women and girls about their rights is the need of the hour.
