Entrepreneurship Awareness Program Organized at GGNIMT
Gujranwala Guru Nanak Institute of Management and Technology (GGNIMT), Civil Lines, Ludhiana organized a Seminar on Entrepreneurship Awareness Program under the aegis of its Entrepreneurship Club and the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) in collaboration with the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India.
Ludhiana, March 17, 2026: Gujranwala Guru Nanak Institute of Management and Technology (GGNIMT), Civil Lines, Ludhiana organized a Seminar on Entrepreneurship Awareness Program under the aegis of its Entrepreneurship Club and the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) in collaboration with the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India.
The program aimed to inspire and guide students toward entrepreneurial thinking by providing insights into business opportunities, government schemes, and financial support systems available for aspiring entrepreneurs.
The seminar was coordinated by Dr. Ripudaman Kaur, Coordinator of the Entrepreneurship Club, who welcomed the distinguished guests and participants. She highlighted that GGNIMT has been consistently organizing entrepreneurship awareness initiatives for the past 15 years under the visionary leadership of Prof. Manjit Singh Chhabra.
Addressing the participants, Prof. Manjit Singh Chhabra, Director of GGNIMT encouraged students to embrace entrepreneurship as a pathway to innovation, economic development, and job creation. He emphasized that such programs are designed to help students explore innovative ideas and understand the practical aspects of starting and managing successful enterprises.
This program featured insightful sessions by distinguished experts from government and banking sector. Mr. Wazir Singh, Deputy Director at the MSME Development & Facilitation Office, Ludhiana, who provided comprehensive guidance on MSME development initiatives and the role of government support in fostering industrial growth and entrepreneurship in the region. Adding a financial perspective Mr. Prateek Katariya, Assistant Director at MSME DFO Ludhiana, discussed enterprise development and elaborated on key government initiatives, including the PM Vishwakarma Scheme and the One Station One Product initiative, highlighting their impact on promoting local entrepreneurship in Punjab.
The final address was delivered by Ms. Inderpreet Kaur, Lead Bank Officer from the Punjab & Sind Bank, spoke about district-level banking coordination and financial inclusion through the District Credit Plan. She also informed the students about the banking support available for startups and small enterprises.
The session also included an interactive question-and-answer segment, where students actively engaged with the experts to gain deeper insights into opportunity analysis, project development, and government subsidies.
The program with valedictory remarks by Prof.Satinderjit Singh, President of the GGNIMT's Institution Innovation Council (IIC). He emphasized the importance of innovation, leadership, and calculated risk-taking in building successful enterprises.
Dr. Harpreet Singh, Principal of GGNIMT, delivered the Vote of Thanks, expressing his sincere gratitude to all the esteemed dignitaries, speakers, and participants for their valuable presence and contribution. He highlighted that the program proved to be a highly informative and motivating session for the students. He further encouraged students to make the best use of the knowledge gained for transforming their innovative ideas into successful ventures.
