Edureform’s Teaching Expo organised at Chitkara University
Chitkara University, Punjab today organised the “Edureform Expo: The Pedagogical Workshop and Exhibition". The event started with the journey of the Edureform Project followed by launch of Edureform Handbook for Innovative Pedagogy by Pro Chancellor of Chitkara University Dr. Madhu Chitkara.
Chandigarh, May 6, 2023: Chitkara University, Punjab today organised the “Edureform Expo: The Pedagogical Workshop and Exhibition". The event started with the journey of the Edureform Project followed by launch of EDUREFORM Handbook for Innovative Pedagogy by Pro Chancellor of Chitkara University Dr. Madhu Chitkara.
The Chief Guest of the event was Vasudevan Natarajan, Chief Operating Officer, Super Teacher Edureforms Pvt Ltd . Other dignitaries present on the occasion were Prof. Dr. Pratibha Patanakr HOD, Department of Education, Shivaji University, Prof. Dr. Sanjeev Sonawane, Dean Faculty of Interdisciplinary, Director school of Education, SPPU, Prof. Satish P. Pathak Department of Education, Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Dr. Gipson Varghese Director CXS solutions India PVT. Ltd.
Chief Guest Vasudevan Natarajan gave an insightful talk on the topic- “Reforming Edutech Landscape”, he touched on the intriguing and thought-provoking domains like multifaceted roles played by the educators, the inclusion of novel tools and practices in the teaching-learning process and incorporating “technology as a new way of teaching”, instill future skills and tools for employability and a sustainable future, also shared his profound standpoint on carving a niche for providing Edutech quality education to the Generation-Alpha and Generation-Z.
There are a total of 11 partners of Edureform - three year prestigious project. Chitkara University is the main coordinator of this project, which is co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, with the theme “Mitigate the Impact of the Fourth Industrial Revolution on Indian Society: EDUcation REFORM for Future an In-service School Teachers”.
Along with Chitkara University, other partners of this project are Indian universities namely The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Savitribai Phule Pune University, Shivaji University, 4 European universities which are the University of Latvia, University of Hamburg, JAMK University of Applied Sciences, Italian University Line as well as two Secondary schools i.e. Chitkara International School and Liceo artistico, coreutico e musicale Candiani-Bausch and One SME: CXS Solutions, having expertise in the field of education.
The Edureform Expo: The Pedagogical Workshop and Exhibition" exhibited various innovative pedagogical tools by the Department of Education, Shivaji University, Kolhapur, SPPU Edureform Team, Chitkara University Research and Innovative Network, The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara, CXS India, Chitkara International School, Chandigarh/Panchkula, Chitkara College of Education, Chitkara School of Psychology and Counselling and Chitkara University Language Centre. This Expo on pedagogical tools was one of a kind and the first time in India, wherein the pre-service teachers, in-service teachers of various government and private schools of tricity attended, faculties of different departments of Chitkara University were enlightened too.
Towards the end of the illuminating event, Pro Chancellor, Dr Madhu Chitkara asserted that she is extremely pleased and honoured to be the leading university in this prestigious Erasmus plus project.
