Chandigarh, April 8, 2024: Center for Public Health Department, Panjab University, Chandigarh conducted an educational session about cervical cancer awareness and the importance of HPV vaccination on World Health Day, themed "My Health, My Right," celebrated on April 7. 

The event held at Florence Nightingale Girls Hostel, sector 25, aimed to spread knowledge and foster understanding about the prevention and management of cervical cancer, a significant global health concern.

Dr. Manoj K. Sharma, Assistant Professor, Department of Public Health and Dr. Simran Kaur, Associate Professor, Department of Evening Studies, graced the occasion as our esteemed chief guests. Their expertise and insights added substantial value to the discussions held during the session.

Dr. Aayushi Sharma, Dr.Navneet Sohal and Dr. Ashrajdeep Singh engaged in informative discussions, highlighting the importance of early detection, regular screenings, and the role of HPV vaccination in preventing cervical cancer.
