DST-TEC Panjab University Recognised as Startup Incubator under Chandigarh Startup Policy 2025, Awarded Grant of Rs. 42.50 Lakhs

Chandigarh, September 9, 2026: The DST- Technology Enabling Centre (DST-TEC), Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh was formally recognised as a Startup Incubator by the Chandigarh Administration and awarded a grant of Rs. 42.50 lakhs.
The Chandigarh Startup Policy 2025 under Chandigarh Administration with Chief Guest Hon’ble Governor of Punjab and Administrator, UT Chandigarh, Shri Gulab Chand Kataria. The event recognized four startups from PU with startup grants. Vizibble Systems Tech, Founders, Er. Saksham Shukla and Mohit Davar with Rs. 11.80 lakh; Herbspark Neutraceuticals, Founder, Dr. Jaspreet Kaur with Rs. 9 lakh; DACH Biotech, Founders, Dr. Mary Chatterjee, Kirti Hooda with Rs. 14 lakh and Advanced Functional Materials Technologies, Founder, Prof. Sanjeev Gautam with Rs. 12 lakh.
The honour was received by Coordinator, DST-TEC, Prof. Manu Sharma and Co-Coordinator, DST-TEC, Prof. Vandita Kakkar along with the TEC team comprising Dr. Ajay Sharma, Er. Prateek Sahni, Er. Kartik Sharma, Dr. Virender Singh and Dr. Sadaf Jan.
The recognition of DST-TEC and the grant support extended to Panjab University startups represent a significant boost to innovation, technology commercialisation, and entrepreneurship.
The event was attended by senior dignitaries of the Chandigarh Administration, including the Chief Secretary, Director of Industries, and Financial Secretary, Chandigarh, among others.
