DRV DAV Centenary Public School Phillaur observe No Bag Day

Jalandhar, September 28, 2023: To reduce the pressure of studies on the students for class 1-5 of DRV DAV Centenary Public School, Phillaur, No Bag Day was observed today. The motive was to ensure the physical, mental and intellectual development of students. For this special day – a day off from studies- special activities were planned for different classes in  Kids  block of the school. The major goal of celebrating this day is to add more colour to students' learning by training them in other areas apart from textbooks with the aim of providing a joyful learning experience for them.  

The day commenced with morning prayer followed by breathing exercise and gratitude meditation to provide a spiritual start. Following the morning assembly, planned activities got underway according to the schedule. For classes I and II flameless cooking, cloth folding, fun games were conducted. 

To keep upcoming festivals in mind Thali decoration activities were also organised. Likewise in classes III to V fun with science, yoga, craft activities were arranged.

In addition to these activities personality grooming sessions were also organised for classes I to V.  Students had a great time, picked up a variety of skills, and returned to their homes with a wealth of unique memories from the school. 

Principal Dr. Yogesh Gambhir stated that reducing study-related stress on students has been a long-standing demand. and No Bag Day is an effort to make education an enjoyable activity and promote the right attitude through interactive and child-centred teaching techniques.
