Ludhiana, June 4, 2026: Possessing indomitable courage, a resolute mindset, and driven by her own strength, Dr. Rupinder Kaur has not only become an exceptional specially-abled mountaineer by reaching the Mount Everest Base Camp on a wheelchair—bringing immense pride to Punjab and Punjabiyat globally—but has also earned the honor of being a fierce and courageous daughter who has brought laurels to the Sikh community. These views were expressed today by Amritpal Singh, Punjab Director of United Sikhs, while addressing prominent personalities gathered during a special felicitation ceremony organized by United Sikhs to honor the specially-abled mountaineer and Punjab's brave daughter, Dr. Rupinder Kaur.
In his impactful address, he stated that the new history scripted by the 40-year-old Ayurvedic Medical Officer, Dr. Rupinder Kaur (specially-abled mountaineer), by hoisting the flag of victory at the base camp of the world's highest peak, Mount Everest, with the help of her wheelchair, has become an inspiring example for the entire younger generation and children.
