Donation Drive at Apahaj Ashram

Jalandhar, May 13, 2022: The Social Service Club PRERNA at GNA University with great pomp and grandeur organized its Donation Drive at Apahaj Ashram, Jalandhar.  The main objective behind the Donation Drive was to bring smiles on the lonely faces of the residents of the Ashram and to instill in the hearts of the University students to develop connect with the needy of the society.
Jasleen Sihra, the renowned International Nutritionist accompanied the volunteers of the PRERNA and counseled the inmates of the Ashram with the right mix of nutrients and even donated the fruits, clothes and juices to the aged people of the ashram. She said, “Staying alive is one thing, but staying happily alive is the best thing that you can do with the people of this Ashram together.”
Dr. Disha Khanna, the Dean Students Welfare, GNA University said, “PRERNA is always there to extend its help and counseling sessions to the much needy populace of the society.” She even thanked all the enthusiastic volunteers and the students’ representatives of the Club for this philanthropic cause.
S. Gurdeep Singh Sihra, the Pro-Chancellor expressed, “We as the GNA Group is at the beck and call for the service of the society and I appreciate the sincere efforts of Team PRERNA in making this drive happen in the most successful manner.”
Overall, 30+ volunteers contributed for this social drive. The students wholeheartedly interacted and organized a few activities with the residents of the Ashram. Kamini Verma, Gayatri Suri and Ranbir Singh, the Assistant Professors from various faculties were also a part of this noble cause. Together the Team PRERNA rendered its best in the form of materialistic goods and infotainment factor.
