Doaba College organises Seminar on “G20 and Sustainable Development”

Jalandhar, August 21, 2023: PG Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Doaba College, in collaboration with All India Radio, organized a seminar focusing on “G20 and Sustainable Development”. Mohammad Imtiaz- Programme Executive, AIR, Prof. Gursimran Singh, Dr. Narinder Kumar, Prof. Manjit Kaur graced the occasion as Resource Persons. They were accorded a hearty welcome by Principal Dr. Pardeep Bhandari, Dr. Simran Sidhu- Head, Prof. Priya Chopra, Staff and students.

Principal Dr. Pardeep Bhandari said that idea sustainable development is already deep rooted in Indian Culture. He said in the current scenario when India is leading G-20, it is the duty of all the Indians to imbibe that same deeply rooted cultural milieu of sustainable development in their character, then only India can become Vishav Guru.

Prof. Gursimran Singh, discussed about Role of Technology & Artificial Intelligence in G20 & Sustainable Development. Dr. Narinder Kumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics presented his views on “G 20 and climate change” and Manjeet Kaur, Assistant Professor, Department of Education focused on the relevance of the New Education Policy 2020- A Trans-formative Vision. Programme Executive, All India Radio, Mohammad Imtiaz interacted with the students of Journalism and Mass Communication and expressed gratitude towards the college and the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication for organizing the event and enlightening everyone on various aspects of G20 meetings.
