DMC&H Organizes 7th Edition of NUMCON 2025 – “From Stethoscope to Simulation”

The two-day conference, themed “From Stethoscope to Simulation,” represents the evolving landscape of medical education, highlighting innovative teaching methodologies, simulation-based learning, and advanced clinical skill training.

Ludhiana, December 6, 2025: DMC&H inaugurated 7th Edition of the National Undergraduate Medical Conference (NUMCON 2025) today. The two-day conference, themed “From Stethoscope to Simulation,” represents the evolving landscape of medical education, highlighting innovative teaching methodologies, simulation-based learning, and advanced clinical skill training.
The event was formally inaugurated by Bipin Gupta, Secretary, DMC&H Managing Society, along with Principal Dr. G.S. Wander, Dean Academics Dr. Sandeep Kaushal, Medical Superintendents Dr. Ashwani K. Chaudhary and Dr. Sandeep Sharma, Additional Medical Supdt. Dr Ashima Taneja and other senior faculty members.
Day 1 witnessed an overwhelming response from undergraduate medical students across the country. The registration began early morning, followed by a dynamic academic schedule comprising specialized workshops, clinical skill sessions, paper and poster presentations, panel discussions, quizzes, and domain-specific hands-on training.
Workshops were conducted in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Orthopaedics, Critical Care Medicine, Neurology, Ophthalmology, Research Methodology, and Basic Clinical Skills, offering participants a blend of practical exposure and academic enrichment.
The conference has been efficiently coordinated by Harjas Singh Sahota, Organising Secretary, whose leadership ensured smooth execution of Day 1 activities.
In his message, Bipin Gupta, Secretary, DMC&H Managing Society, congratulated the organizing committee and participants. He said, “NUMCON has grown into a prestigious platform that inspires young medical minds to excel beyond textbooks. I commend the dedication of the DMC&H team in promoting innovation, research, and holistic clinical learning.”
Principal, Dr. G.S. Wander, expressed pride in hosting the seventh edition of the conference. He said, “NUMCON 2025 reflects our commitment to preparing future doctors who are clinically skilled, research-driven, and technologically empowered. The theme signifies the shift toward simulation-based learning, an integral component of modern medical education.”
Sharing his academic perspective, Dean Academics, Dr. Sandeep Kaushal, added, “NUMCON provides students with an excellent platform to learn, collaborate, and enhance their medical competencies. The enthusiastic nationwide participation reinforces the significance of this academic initiative.”
The students won prizes in various competition during the workshops and other events.
A Pannel Discussion on AI in Medical Sciences was moderated by Manas and Iha from MBBS Batch 2024 and the various panellists were Dr. Sandeep Kaushal, Dr. Ashima Taneja, Dr. Gautam Ahluwalia, Dr.Ashwind Bawa, Dr. Karambir Singh Gill, and Dr. Sahil Maingi. It was concluded that AI is a tool and master. Those who will use this tool will serve the patients better.
Day 1 concluded successfully with vibrant student participation and engaging academic interactions. The second featured advanced workshops, guest lectures, panel discussions, and the valedictory and prize distribution ceremony.
