Ludhiana, May 12, 2023: DMCH College of Nursing celebrated Nurses Week from 6th – 12th May under the theme “Our Nurses Our Future”.
During the week, a slew of different events were held with a grand celebration at the end closing this perfect string of celebrations.
On the final event various delegates graced the occasion. Present on the event were Sunil Kant Munjal, President, DMC&H Managing Society, Bipin Gupta, Secretary, DMC&H Managing Society, Mukesh Verma, Treasurer, DMC&H Managing Society, Dr Sandeep Puri, Principal, DMC&H, Dr GS Wander, Vice Principal, DMC&H, Dr Triza Jiwan, Principal, DMC&H CON, Dr Ashwani K Chaudhary, Dr Sandeep Sharma ; Medical Superintendents ,DMC&H, Dr Sandeep Kaushal, Dean, DMC&H, Sunita Dev, Nursing Suptd, DMC&H, Manjeet Bawa, Nursing Suptd. HDHI, senior nursing staff and nursing students.
In his address Sunil Kant Munjal, President, DMC&H Manging Society said that nursing facilities in DMC&H is at par with the top institutions of India and the nurses are the backbone of this institution. He also said that nursing should be involved in the research & development aspect of DMC&H and give their valuable contribution.
Bipin Gupta, Secretary, DMC&H Manging Society, appreciated the efforts of the nursing students and the staff of the college on organizing the whole week of celebrations. He also advised the budding nurses to go and explore what the world has to offer and then with their experience, serve their motherland.
Dr Triza Jiwan, Principal, DMCH Con said these events were possible because of the students and the very hardworking staff of the DMC&H CON. She also encouraged the students to be compassionate and caring towards the patients and be diligent like Florence Nightingale in their craft.
Nidhi Sagar, Vice Principal, DMC&H CON gave a vote of thanks.
During the week, various events like extempore speech, Mono-acting, Essay writing, Fashion Show, live poster making etc were held where students participated with utmost enthusiasm.
