DMC&H along with IADVL Conducts Free Skin Health Camps
Department of Dermatology, DMC&H, in collaboration with the Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists, and Leprologists (IADVL) – Punjab, Chandigarh, and Himachal Pradesh State Branch – successfully conducted six free skin check-up and awareness camps across the region. IADVL organized 32 camps in the region. These camps were part of a larger initiative by IADVL to set a world record for organizing the highest number of skin health camps in a single day, with over 600 camps held nationwide.

Ludhiana, July 16, 2025: Department of Dermatology, DMC&H, in collaboration with the Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists, and Leprologists (IADVL) – Punjab, Chandigarh, and Himachal Pradesh State Branch – successfully conducted six free skin check-up and awareness camps across the region. IADVL organized 32 camps in the region. These camps were part of a larger initiative by IADVL to set a world record for organizing the highest number of skin health camps in a single day, with over 600 camps held nationwide.
The camps were part of IDVL's campaign themed "No Health without Skin Health", which aimed to raise awareness about the importance of skin health in achieving overall physyical, mental and social well being.
The camps were held under the leadership of Dr. Sukhjot Kaur, Professor and Head of the Department of Dermatology at DMC&H and President of the IADVL State Branch. She was joined by Dr. Jaspriya Sandhu, Associate Professor and Honorary Secretary of the State Branch, and Dr. Navneet Kaur, Assistant Professor and Joint Secretary. Together, the team provided expert dermatological care, examining over 300 patients and distributing free medications to those in need.
This initiative not only addressed the immediate skin health concerns of individuals but also aimed to educate the public on common dermatological conditions, dispel myths, and promote awareness about skin hygiene and timely treatment. The camps served as an accessible platform for patients to receive professional advice and consultations, thereby enhancing community health awareness.
